H&W PASTURES
PRODUCING TOP QUALITY LIVESTOCK FOR YOUR HOMESTEAD, FARM OR TABLE
ABOUT US
H&W Pastures is a multi-generational, small-scale, pasture-based livestock operation located in the Eastern Panhandle of Wild, Wonderful West Virginia. Spanning just over 150-acres, our livestock are managed through an integrated, multi-species, high-intensity rotational grazing system. Our methods are designed to build living soil and maximize the growth of our native flora. All of our ruminants are grass-fed, grass-finished. Our pigs and chickens are provided locally sourced Non-GMO feed to supplement their pasture diet.
DO YOU HAVE A FARMER?
It’s probably a safe bet that you have a family doctor. You also might have a hair dresser, a CPA and a personal trainer. But do you have a farmer? Everybody needs to eat, right? Hopefully you eat more than you see your doctor. If your “farmer” is named Walmart, I encourage you to reach out into your community to get to know the people producing food in your area. Make a conscious effort to understand where your food comes from, how it is grown or raised, and make sure it meets your standards of sustainability and cleanliness. At H&W Pastures, we raise Angus cows, Kiko goats, Katahdin sheep, Duroc pigs and American Bresse chickens. We maintain focus on soil health and animal welfare through high intensity rotational grazing in an attempt to mimic nature as close as possible within a controlled setting. We sell animals live on-the-hoof for meat, breed stock or show as well as hatching eggs for the chickens. If you don’t yet have a farmer, please feel free to contact us and we will continue to work day and night to support you.
