AMERICAN BRESSE CHICKENS

American Bresse Chickens are the ultimate homestead bird due to their optimized balance of egg and meat production. With good genetics and a proper finishing diet, the meat is the best tasting chicken in the world. Unfortunately, not all American Bresse exhibit the same potential which is why we spent months researching breeders, their culling and breeding practices, and customer responses to their birds. We identified who we believe to be one of the very best breeders in the country, North Star Farms. After some conversation, we decided to invest heavily in building our foundation flock upon their years of hard work in developing meaty, hardy, high egg-production birds. They were not the cheapest birds on the market, but they are far cheaper than spending many generations trying to build a "cheap" flock up to the same quality/production level that NSF provides. We are continuing their hard work by being very selective with our breeding stock and maintaining strict culling standards. As with any of our livestock, we cull hard so our customers can be confident they're getting the best quality livestock for their investment.
